I fish both spinners as well as low profile bait cast reels

IMO low profile bait caster gets the bait to the bottom quicker .
Allows easier drop back to add scope .
As well as puts your wrist in a better position to reel lots of fish in deep water .
.
But still like to occasionally change it up and fish light jigs with a light spinning rod

Any of the lighter rods used for fluking bucktails work fine

Jigging World Ghost Hunter Slow Pitch Jigging Rod Spinning 100g is what I have and love it. My buddy has the Tsunami Slow Pitch and its really nice too for less than half the price.

Black Hole Challenger Bank 691 UL is awesome for sea bass jigging. A lot more money, but I love it.
