Bouncing around the Raritan! 5/8/21
 

Didn’t find anything huge to play with this weekend. I was pressed for time with lots of family stuff. Hit the Raritan Saturday during the day and the Smallies were on the feed as well as the Rainbow Trout. All fish caught on the Ned rig. Lol! I had a limit plus on the Rainbows on a Smallie plastic. Some people say Trout are supposed to be smart. I’m not so sure about that. Biggest Smallmouth were maybe 14 inches. Spotted the big girl I wanted to catch but I couldn’t get her to commit. There’s always next time. TIGHT LINEZ!! :D

nice job :) had similar results on the NB and they wanted the ned rig on the bottom barely moving an inch. rainbows however only picked it up when i reeled it in faster

That rig works for anything lol. Way to cash in on some time and put a catch together fasty,

fish don't have the biology to be intelligent haha just pure instinctual, unpredictable, nature... gotta love it!

Great catches, way to enjoy a few me hrs and then get back to the family!
