sealine x40sha line

Would like to spool reel for 150-200 deep water for ling, sea bass. I think all braid would be too much line. Probably use 40-50lb. But How?
Info appreciated..:)
Thanks
Howard

I would put some backer on the reel and spool with Fins 40g line. Thin but strong. I use that line on my bottom rods and its very sensitive...can really feel the bite and has plenty of strength. Dont know of many local shops carrying it but worth the effort to locate it.

I would start with 1/4 spool mono backing since I think your reel holds 270 yds of 40 lb mono. I use a modified Albrite knot for my mono to braid connection.
It should take more than enough braid to fill your needs. I also like to use a topshot for when there's tangles in crowded conditions. Braid to braid tangles are some of the worst. I don't feel that the topshot adversely effects feel.
