Rvta stocking / knee deep trout contest
 

This weekend with the mambas big motor down for a month or so I borrowed the mambas sister ship to assist in the round valley trout association stocking. This year we put in with the club 400 browns at 12-13” and 39 trophy trout averaging anywhere from 4-6 lbs. All these fish were possible with all the money we got donated throughout this tough year thank you to all who donated!

Sunday me and duck or bleed teamed up in the mamba and worked the big pond looking for a good trout to weigh in.... we set the spread out and kept it simple with 4 boards on each side and both downriggers going. Rapalas and spoons did the trick on flatlines and 1 colors. We ended up with plenty of trout but only one good one worth weighing in, that placed fourth just outta the money. We lost three good fish too so that hurt us but we’ll be back next year! Congrats to all the winners and my buddy Matt’s son Justin that took 3 rd place pickerel

Nice to see you got to stock some quality fish in the res those fish looked nice they have a better chance of survival then the ones the kdc put in the cong. I can not beleave you did not get that big money fish on sunday wonder if it is still in the lake.

The Trouts are in the water and ready to feed. There’s no dropping fish during a contest. You either land em’ or you get kicked off the boat. Hahaha! Good stuff brother Mike!! :D
