Fished with some homies Saturday on a toothy lake! I don’t have the right baits for this but I’m always willing to give it a shot. Got set up with some good sized Shiners and then the waiting game began! There were a few flags during the day but mostly bait flags with one hammer handle Ski’ being landed by one of the local pros on the lake. I got a flag at the same time but unfortunately something just gave my bait a sniff and decided it wasn’t hungry! About an hour passed and I just got back on the ice from putting some gear back on my truck. I see my flag up from 200 yards away. Shit, why is it always the furthest one? Lol! It’s all good because it’s my Frank V tip up. I take my time walking up and get to the hole to see the the spool isn’t spinning. Hmmmmm, how long has this one been up? I slowly take up the the line and feel some weight and yes there’s a fish on. It’s feisty and has some balls diving down as I get it closer to the hole! Alright, get it all out cus I’m about to get you sucka. Got it up to the hole the second time and pulled a beautiful 35 inch Ski’ onto the ice. I was stoked that it was a perfect pure strain. But in my heart I was happier to see what tip up it came on. Great day on the water with some NJ OG’s and thank you for the assist and pics!

Fished the contest at Swartswood today with the good ole boys and Chase. We were in the right area and it bit us in the butt! 18 tip ups between 4 guys and 2 guys jigging and all we got was one flag and it was a Perch landed by my bro Mikey. I jigged all day on sporadic marks tight to the bottom and came up with 6 Perch and 6 Crappie by the end of the day, all on the smaller side. Chase and I were the last ones left on the ice at 4pm. Our lucky tip up never went up! It’s all good though! A day on the ice with the boys and Chase is a great day regardless! Wondering what the winning is going to be as there wasn’t a lot of people chasing flags on this beautiful Sunday. TIGHT LINEZ! FLAGGGGGGGGG! :D
