Boonton Ice Report

Fished a private pond that a buddy of mine invited me on. Thx Ry! Solid 6" of ice with another 4 to 6" of white ice. Bout 6 inches of snow on top of that. Tip ups and rods with fathead minnows. We initially missed a few perch....Then my buddy lands his 1st ice fish and his now new PB pickerel on an UL ice jigging rod with 5lb test line. Rough measurement with two ice scoop rulers had her at 27" and FAT! 5mins later I land a nice Pick too. Then nothing for two hours till he lands another beast (25") on a tip up. Pickeled pickerel is on the menu.

Yea man those are the slime darts i remember when i was growing up in boonton twsp the fish near the rockaway river and some of the ponds in boonton twsp get big and will tear your stuff up good and those are some nice ones for sure. congrats on some pb action well done
