Got Our White Cats...
 

You all may remember that I have two boys who were on a tear about catfish this summer and into early autumn. They expressed a desire to try to catch all 5 catfish species in NJ, and as of mid-October we had only gotten both bullhead, channels and flatheads, so I tried a Hail Mary and took them to a spot where there were reputed to be white cats. We actually visited twice and caught three of them total. The boys were as happy as can be.

We can now retire the catfish rods for a little while in preparation for the cold weather! :D

Great job conquering the Catfish species. You guys have done well. Don’t forget they still bite in the cold weather. You just have to chum em’ up sometimes. :D

well done check off another species of kitty fish to be caught you guys sure gave it a good effort and were rewarded for it. what baits were you using for them? i usually get them on whole dead minnows like herring or shiners.
