great afternoon on the Cong.
 

my son and i left the dock at 12:00 noon on saturday looking to jig some fish.first spot was a dude except for a brand new ultra light rod and reel the my son caught.we made a move and my son jigs to small eyes but that was it.we go to a spot we have had good luck jigging in the past and it was game on.we had eyes,stripers,crappie and white perch.it was pretty quick fishing with a few double hook ups.we fished till 6pm with 9 eye,2 stripers,11 crappie and 2 whites.we dropped quite a few also.all fish released to get bigger. we are truly blessed to have this fishery.good luck and God bless

Wow that is a strange way to start a trip with a rod and reel and then a nice mixed bag of fish to cap off a nice day out on the cong. The boat traffic should be mellowing out now that the cooler weather is here and the fishing should be good when the lake cools down a bit, i am looking to get out this weekend to see if the fish want to play.
