My Son Caught His First Walleye
 

A few weeks ago we were out fishing for channel cats in the D and R, and we got quite a surprise!! None of the three of us have ever caught a walleye before, and now myself and my youngest son have some catching up to do! 8 lb 28 inches!

Many guys fish a lifetime for a trophy walleye like that. Congratulations to your boy for a very impressive catch even more so considering it's his first walleye. Talk about setting the bar high, You guys have your work cut out for you. Great report, great story and two beautiful trophies. Real healthy looking walleye too, nice clean looking fish. Great job guys and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Folks! The walleye was handled very carefully and returned safely in short time! It was quite an experience to be face to face with a beautiful fish like that.

Hard to come by fish like that these days. It’s a trophy Walleye just about anywhere you go. Well done dad! Priceless look on the kids face. Amazing catch!!!:D
