Home Sweet Home on the Monger

In what has easily been the worst spring of my life it finally felt good to be home again with Captain Hank & Rizzo. Had a very motley crue join me & my better half devon, Including Hack Biz, brad aka new Evan, the ghost of tom Daly, Poppa Vince & the great sausage fingered landscaper joepy z. This was the best inshore spring sea bassing I can remember seeing in 30 years of my fishing career. Early limit throwing back 13-14inch fish because they're small but what made it even better while trying the jig for sea bass I got a double header mackerel & then after we had our limit capt. hank let us put a bunch of mackerel in the cooler! hadn't seen mackerel fishing like that in probably 15 years or so so much fun & delicious, as well as brought back alot of memories. sprinkle of ling & a Pollack caught a cod. Poppa Vince also landed a 5lb blackfish would love to see that happen in season. If you wanna fill the freezer with tasty treats go sea bassing asap it's insane! I was orl on both bait & jigs it didn't matter thanks again Jerry & Rizzo for everything felt so good to be home.

Joe, how about a little explanation of the last two pics. Are those the macks and how did you prepare them?:)

Re: Home Sweet Home on the Monger
yes sir those are mack fillets. lay em down skin on a baking dish no need for oil as the macks have enough. on top salt, pepper, preserved lemon & small piece of butter. I also drip a lil white wine on each filet. in oven @ 375 for 12-15 minutes comes out amazing.
