Inlet Sunday

Fished from 2-6 at the same inlet as last week, lots of people there but they stayed apart for the most part. Big swells moving through, water was a bit churned up with a decent amount of seaweed floating around. Cloudy most of the day.

I tried tactics for a bunch of different species. Started by looking for blues or shad, but neither were around today and I didn’t see a single one caught. Started bucktailing and got two 14” fluke not far apart from each other. I was stoked to catch them - it’s been quite awhile since I caught a fluke and was hoping I would get one today.

Scaled down even more to see if any rat bass or sea bass were hanging around but only got bothered by bergall.

Great afternoon on the water! Tight lines!

Nice effort brother. I'm hearing there are some Bass out front. It should be getting better the next few weeks.

I’ve been fishing the river west of that inlet the past few days and there have been a good deal of fluke caught from the fishing areas on both sides of the boat ramp with a fair amount of keeper sized ones caught (all released) with some looking to be @ 23”s.
