Obsession Striper Shake Down
 

Me and the King of the Knoll took Obsession out for the first trip of the year. We got a late start, stopped for fuel and arrived on the grounds around 11:00. Seems like everyone else had the same idea since there were hundreds of others out on practically anything that floats, Jon boats, Kayaks, Jet Skis they were all out there. Saw WyldBill out there too. Nice job on the hull wrap Bill!!

Spent most of our time trolling and weaving around the boats between Port Monmouth and Keyport pulling Stretches and Mojos without a sniff... Did not see any birds until later in day off Earle on our way home. They were diving pretty good dropped the gear in nothing, stopped and casted some metal and plastics still nothing.

Not a good day of fishing but great to be outdoors and feel the sun on my face. I needed that!!

They were on chartreuse on the a.m. tide cycle and on white after the changeover, in the areas you mentioned...
Gr8 day boated 15 er so with almost all being large fish....

The boat traffic waz absolutely INSANE

Dont worry Jerry you;; have them dial in in no time.

Sunday traffic was absolutely insane and we came out late in afternoon. Birds were working all over the place chasing bunker pod from one corner to the next.

We got tired of zig zagging around all the traffic out there and moved a bit out of the way. Found some life and went 3 for 6 all on mojos...stretches didnt get a sniff.

Looks like will be out tomorrow, stay safe ya all.

P.S. Big big thank you to Pete at Atlantic Bait and Tackle for the mojos and personal guarantee. His exact words were and i quote " If you dont catch them on these, you can go ahead and return them. " Happy to say no returns will be needed.

Good to read a report !! But more importantly , how the boat run?
