Happy Walleye’s Eve! 12/31/2019
Got the boat out on the last day of the year. This is something that never happens for me. Launched around 830 am and headed to the grounds. 1st spot, 0, 2nd spot, 0. Got some intel from the brotherhood and set up on anchor in 45 feet of water. Started casting the jig and the Walleye started cooperating! The 3rd spot was loaded up pretty good as I went 5-7 on Walleye to 21ish inches! Best action for me was from 945-12. Couldn’t buy a bite once the south wind picked up. The wind gusts were so strong at one point that I got blown off anchor. Some kinda front passed through as it was flat calm all morning. Grinded it out til 4 dropping 1 more fish and called it a day. I can’t think of a better way to end 2019! Walleye were hungry! Cheers to a happy, healthy, prosperous and fishy 2020! TIGHT LINEZ to all you crazy NJFers!!!:D
