Rainy day troutin'

didn't feel like dealing with the wind yesterday and all my tackle getting wet in the boat so i opted for a nice relaxing trout session. Not another single human in sight (just the way i like it!) and the wild browns and bows were pretty aggressive despite the super low clear water. Plenty of love from the average sized, beautiful, trouser trout, but the one big trout i spotted wanted nothing i threw his way. I'll be back after a good rain i think when she gets fired up a bit :)

Nice brown, not an easy feat in the low clear water. Holdover bow too. He's too small to be a freshie plus has more of a silver tone.

Still sime quality colors on those fish though! Maybe with the cooler temps setting in those bigger ones will be more willing. Always good to have the water to yourself at times too. Nice catches!

I had 4 browns like that one, just only took the one pic, but I was surprised the fishing was as good as it was when i saw the water. Just by the way that little bow fought i can tell it has been in the stream for a while.
