Surf report
 

I gave it a try in southern Monmouth county this evening. As I was walking from my car I saw a pile of bait pinned in the pocket of a jetty getting hammered by cocktail blues. I was throwing a stingsilver lure and it was nonstop for about 20 minutes. When the bite died off I moved around a little and tried for a bass and got a good bite in close but didn't come tight. I then took a ride to the canal and fished a short time in couple spots but nothing doing there for me.

Thanks for the comeback Rammie. I enjoy your Sandy hook reports. I really wasn't expecting much and I didn't put much effort in at the canal. Just a little preseason warmup for the Bass run.
