RVR camp and fish

Caught a few fish. Minnie baited. Picked up after the slobs before me. They burned lawn chairs, a lantern , a hatchet, and who knows what else as well. I should say tried to burn. Remote controlled lantern with like 19 d batteries. I just don’t get how people just leave all this trash. I’ve found whole campsite with tent sleeping bags all just left last year at RV. Stuff was brand new as they left the boxes as well. Nice weather. Eagle around and Loons as well.

The park has to know who had the site before you. You should have taken pics and sent them to the park. But thanks for cleaning up after those blackguards.

How is the water level now? I would hope they are pumping it up after all this rain.

I let them know. I’ve had park staff come out and get trash when I had no
Means to take it out, that place and all state parks to a degree has just become a free for all. The issue is the cut in park staff and park police. You used to get visited by the park police by boat and on foot , but now you only see them when it’s emergency and someone needs to be rescued. Unfortunate but it’s a fact and the parks staff that exist no it’s a big problem.

I think you hit the nail on the head with cuts to park staff. We camped there many many years ago and it seemed like a constant patrol either by truck or foot checking those camp sites.
