anyone been surf fishing?
 

I had a great night Thursday (11:-2:00 am) in Raritan bay. Too many bluefish bites to count but was happy to hook 2 bass as well. 35 and 36 inches....


Anyone see any bass on clams in the surf????

Not me personally but I guy I worked with has been hitting the Hook pretty regularly in the dark.

He strictly throws plugs. Been doing well with the blues both ocean and bay sides but hasn’t had a striper in 2 weeks.

The bass I caught were chasing bunker schools and hit chunks.

Going to surf fish Brigantine on Saturday. Supposedly big drum, kingfish and small tiger sharks down there now.
Will write a report.

Going to try Brigantine next week 6/22

Definately catching a bunch of kingfish there

I love to catch kings late at night and use the heads for bass bait.
