I had a similar experience. while on a fishing trip in Belize we came across something floating in the water. we trolled by and caught two mahi. we went back to check out what it was. a 120 pound bale of marijuana. It was in ten pound bricks each in plastic and dipped in wax. we pulled in in the boat and was amazed at our discovery. we ended up breaking it up and sinking it. its fairly common down there. they refer to it as the Belizean lottery. I had a picture of the mahi on the bale in Effingers sporting goods when they were open.

Stuff like that is best ignored. Can get you hurt or worse. Never know who's in the distance on binocs or radar waiting for you to leave the area.

F'ing it up like that, albeit a positive accomplishment can make you and the boat all disappear.
