Decided to go out after work last wednesday with a friend and his father. Headed to the Isle of Staten to try for some fluke and blues. No fluke around, had a few bluefish hits on bunker and managed to land one. Next night we decided to head across the bay and try again, glad we did. Ran into a bunch of blues. Most on bait and a few on spoons and diamond jigs. Total of 17 blues landed. Next few days we spent on the D&R and the main stem. D&R was real nice, multiple species, LMB, rock bass, crappies, sunnies, and yellow perch. Raritan was real nice to me also, got my PB smallie. Measured 21.5". Hopefully it keeps up!
