Browns, Rainbows and Shad (April 13 to 14, 2019)
 

Headed out with a friend on Saturday to try to find some fishable water for trout. Most spots were blown out, but we managed to find a stream in PA that was running clear. We ended up with a bunch of rainbows, and I caught an absolute hog of a bow.

On Sunday, I fished two different spots. The first river was at a great level, so I stopped there and caught a couple of browns and a rainbow. After, I got a few, I headed out to a spot I haven't fished in a while. Water was still high and dirty, but fishable. I got the usual pick of nice wild browns, but then got a nice surprise. I ran into a school of shad, and ended up catching 6 on small jigs. An absolute blast on 4lb test and a 5'6" ultralight rod.

Great looking mixed bag Tuna man! Those Shad are some tough fish man. Had to be a blast in da Creek on 4 lb test. Good time!!!
