Raritan River Walleye
Nice day today, water was still a bit high, but it was clearing up. Water temps were around 42 F.
Forgot waders at home so it was all bank fishing today, luckily I was able to find some nice spots to cast. Struck gold on the first spot. Didn't take long throwing a heavy jig + chartreuse 3 inch grub. Boy did that fight feel good after fishing for dink trout :D Since I was on a steep bank had to jump down into muddy water to net. Then climb back up grabbing whatever I could and hauling my person up. New PB walleye, super chunky, worth the dip and ruined shoes socks and pants. Terrible camera/measureing work whenever I get too excited. Hi-res links: https://i.postimg.cc/4dr6fyrF/IMG-20...-124701224.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/90ZGrV2X/IMG-20...-124356211.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/xCHkPR4t/IMG-20...-124701224.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/kGm2YSr9/IMG-20...-124356211.jpg |
