Lake George

Chrisper, myself, and a couple other ice anglers took a ride up to Lake George this past weekend. This was my first time up there and let me tell you that I'm a total idiot for never going up there before..that lake is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Walking out on that place at sunrise both days was worth the trip alone. Drilling in and setting up with those views takes you away! The bite wasn't hot but the follows on the sonar all day kept the heart beating. We managed a few quality lakers both days in the 25"-28" range with some teenagers mixed in all on the jig. Hoping to get back up again there before ice out.

hell yeah boys! I used to go up to lake george every memorial day weekend with my family. Always did well on the bass from the docks of the resort we stayed at. It's definitely a gorgeous place to fish. Congrats on the successful trip!

Been going to lake George for well over 40 years from when I was young with my parents and sister until now with my own family including my wife and 2 grown kids. We all still feel that this is our favorite family destination regardless of where we go. Love Lake George beyond words and love the fishing here as well.

That lake is so blue, you ought to try as soon as the ice goes out, lakers in shallow, landlocks in shallow. If you can catch the smelt run you'll do great. Took a 16lb laker right from the pier where the tour boats are, then in the fall the landlocks come in to spawn, catch them right off the sidewalk. Summer bass fishing is outstanding, never seen such huge pickerel then in that lake, just up a bit Schroon river from Starbuckville all the way to Warrensburg all summer puts out trout, it's crazy fishing that river, and you usually never see another fisherman. Amazing fishery there, been going all my life, hopefully will retire up there - - soon !!!!!!!
