Trout Saturday, Ice Sunday!!!
 

Hit the Trout waters Saturday. I was pressed for time due to an afternoon family event. Got out around 830 am and the Rainbows were hungry. Got 4-5 of them bouncing around checking out some spots. Hooked a great big NJ Brown around noon but unfortunately lost her at my feet, not sure how. I know where she lives so I’ll have another crack at her and I will catch her. That’s a guarantee!!!

Sunday I went to Monksville! Yes, “SKUNKSVILLE!” One of the prettiest places to fish in NJ! Set the tip ups all over the lake and watched em’ do absolutely nothing all damn day! Not one flag! Haha!!! Poor tip ups definitely weren’t happy
to be at this venue. The jigging however was ok, well just ok for this place. Managed 25 Bluegills in the 3-5 inch range, 1 Pickerel and 2 jumbo Perch on the jigging rod to try and keep busy while waiting for that 1 flag. It never happened. Oh well, that’s Monksville for ya! I’ll be there again just because you can have some really good days there no doubt.

The perch pictured are right around 15 inches! Some good eats right there! Mmmmmmmmhmmmmmmm!!!!! TIGHT LINEZ! FLAGGGGG!!!!:D

P.S. I was on 8 inches of ice Sunday. And it made ice all day. Plenty of ice north of rt 80 guys. It’s not over yet! Nope! Sorry!!! Oh gee wait! We have stocked Spring Trout reports coming in April!!! Oh yay!!!:rolleyes:

now you are talking my lingo. those are JUMBOS indeed i would bet they tasted real goooooooood. talk about a fickle mistress skunksville is up there with the best of them you either hit or totally miss at that place. great photos ed.

That is the most fish i ever heard of being caught in one day at Skunks....You sure you didnt unhook that gill and just kept dropping in back down the hole and reeling it back up all day :D:D:D:D? BIG PERCH!!! Nice work as always Fast!
