Hook size for large gulp

I usually fish a gulp 6 inch grub or mullet above my bucktail. After the first fish the gulp keeps sliding down the hook. What is the proper hook I should be using?

My favorite hook for a 6" grub is any one of the "flipping" hooks in 5/0.. Gami, Owner, VMC, Mustad, Trokar etc. all offer one.. all work fine..they're all a bit pricey, so I watch for sales.. The heavy barbed collars hold the grubs tight..and the non-offset point keeps the bait swimming true.. most have a round bend/wide gape that affords a good bite on the big baits.. My 2nd choice is a Gamikatsu baitholder in 5/0-7/0..

I'll second the flippin hooks. I use the 7/0 Trokar. Wish they made a 9/0. :D
