i want to wish everyone a happy,peaceful new year. i took the canoe out today to see if the fish are coming back in to the shallower water that was almost out of the water when the lake was down 5'... i fished from 4' into 6' and the perch were playin nice with my augertail grub. i landed 20 perch from 6" to just over 13" and of course 3 friggin slime darts one was 17". i also had one of those toothy bastards steal my small husky jerk:mad: i got out on the water about 10:15 and fished till 3:00pm, just had to break the new license in... it was windy but nice temp wise the water is a bit cloudy probably form the recent rains. now we need the ice, lets start the ice dancing to get things going.:cool:

Wind was honking pretty good today, at least you got out and got the first fish of 2019 !!!

Nice work badger. That wind was fierce.

Happy that they closed the dam in time to catch all this rain. Lake is up over 2' in under 15 days.

yea that wind machine was on for sure, but i was able to hide from it by fishing close to the north shore of the lake did not have to go far to find some fish.
