Boat and beach report
 

I drove down early afternoon Friday. Checked out a few spots on the way and didn't see much going on although there was a lot of people fishing. I hit up a spot that has been good over the years but it was dead, the water looked like crap and the beach was trashed from recent beach replenishment. This spot had a lot of sand fleas and they were there 2 weeks ago but I didn't see any Friday. I went south and found a nice area and I got 2 bass and dropped one. I fished after dark but no night bite for me this time. Saturday I got a ride with 2 friends and we left out of Point predawn. We wound up down by the park and had a decent jig bite all day. Some drifts were hot some were not but we caught our fill. All the fish were shorts 20 to 25 inches.
