Raritan river Rainbow Trout 10/23/18:
 

Looking back at my log book entries from 2009, I think that was around the time Shucker turned me onto this great fall fishing.
Needless to say it was some great fishing on the BIG river. Started around Duke Island Park and did very well. As the morning progressed and the sun got higher in the sky the trout seemed to shut down in the gin clear water.
This fishing should hold up well right through November. All trout caught on single hooks and released to grow bigger and fight another day. The one trout had lots of eggs coming out of it.

Great looking fish. Those trout are surely comfy in that BIG water :D

Wow!!! Those trout have been hiding under the trees since the Spring, haha!!! Glad they finally came out of there hiding spots on the really big shallow river!!!:D
