Leaves, warm water and Trout!!! Perfect! One good thing, the rivers should be nice and full for this stocking. I’ll be out in November, December catching assorted species of Trout for sure..........:D

We need to push for a 2 trout limit during the fall and winter, TRUE trout water times.

Completely agree! When I see guys with a stringer full bragging that they have a freezer full at home, it really irks me. It's like, eww, why? Month old defrosted trout, yummers! But what good are new regs if they're not being enforced?

Anyone know what part of the Wanaque River they stock? The part that runs from Greenwood to Monksville or the part south of the Wanaque Reservoir? Both have the trout stocked waters signs up from Spring.

Not even sure of the limits as I do not keep trout anymore. You need 4 5lb. trout, no 2 is just fine. Less big fish stocked in the fall that have a good chance to hold over during cold winter months.

Limit should be: Opener to June 30th 5 trout, June 30 - March close 2 trout.

Looks like it could be a good fall season with much better flows than normal. Will help with the leaves and should help disperse the fish.
