MUSHIN - Manasquan RIVER mahi - 9/6

I just wanted to share a first for me...we were seining for spearing etc on 9/6 along the south edge of Gull Island in the Manasquan River to use on our tuna trip later that day. We see a 20 inch green/yellow/golden fish flopping in our seine net on our second trawl...a MAHI MAHI! Caught in less than 2 feet along Gull Island! I gotta say it took some pressure off me for the rest of the day, since we “caught” a mahi before we even left the dock!! lol

That is crazy. I heard they were inshore, but that is just ridiculous.

I had a friend catch a few out of his 16' fishing right in front of SRI last weekend.
They had Mahi, bonito and small blues chasing spearing
