Is this a rusty craw? I come across these with a lot when flipping rocks in back of my house and always wonder if i can id them should they be disposed of since theyre invasive. They do work great as bait though.

It's difficult to tell from your pic. If it is though you might want to consider not transporting them elsewhere to use as bait since that would be spreading an invasive species. If the one your holding is a rusty it would be a young one.

rustys make up the majority of the crayfish in the creeks around here
