Where are all the Blues
 

Is it just me or has the Blue fishing been Nonexistent for the last two years. Please give me your thoughts and experiences. Any reports would be appreciated

They're plenty around just not inshore for whatever reason...

The guys trolling around in the Mudhole looking for Bluefin have been getting covered up by them.

I agree with fishon as far as blues inshore. Fish sandy hook area for fluke and usually caught a few small blues. Also in past in the afternoon on weekday you would see a school of blues on top with bird action. Last few years no blues.

Bluefish are very scarce inshore any more.All the blue fishing boats are mixing in other species to compensate for the lack of blues.It seems like the blue fishing is getting worse every year.You used to be able to catch them day and night. I'm not sure what the cause is.But ever since Hurricane Sandy it has not been the same.

By this time of the season, I usually have sore arms from reeling in blues in the Sandy Hook surf....NONE for the last two seasons?????
Gonna give it a whirl in the surf tomorrow on the hook...see ya all later, RAMMIE
