Cong 4/22

Spent the day on the big pond. Beautiful day on the lake. Not sure if it was just me but fishing seemed slow. Had to work really hard for a few perch and pickerel. Not a single crappie. The cong kicks my arse on the regular.

chfisher did you fish the skinny water in the coves? those crappies are moving around you have to fish the green weeds in the pockets in about 4 to 6 fow with jig-n-bobbers about two to three feet below the bobber. still a nice day to be out there glad to hear that you did not get the dreaded skunking. as squatch has said the cong is a fickle mistress

That's basically what I did. Fished an average of 6 ft. Jig n bobber. Used small minnows, earth worms, and plastics. Spent some time in each area of the lake with the most luck in the north.

i fished from 1-6 yesterday and couldn't find them in their normal haunts...managed 1 8" trout to avoid the skunk...tough day out there...

the fish are definitely all confused
