Winter Flounder Report

Today I fished northern Barnegat bay with two friends. We started at 2 and caught 3 up to 16.5 inches in the first hour on the last of the incoming. When the tide slacked it was over. We stayed for some of the outgoing and left at 5:30. The wind started blowing out of the south around 12 knts soon after we arrived. Water temp was 48 at the start went up to 50 on the ebb tide.

Nice to see a flounder report. What were you guys chumming and baiting up with?

Thnx Duffman. We were using Clams, Mussels, Sandworms and Garden worms for bait. We used homemade chum made ffrom rice, corn, mussels, sardines and cat food.

Nice report Bruce! I’m heading up to Quincy, MA next weekend for an exploratory winter flounder trip with Capt Jason.

Still have room on my July charter... Dan please PM me if you’re interested.
