Their annual kids trout tournament was held at Spring Lake this past weekend was a huge success.

Took my grandaughter there for the tournament.What a great event for the kids.They had free coffee,dounuts,bagels,and hot chocolate in the morning.Soon after it started I saw 5 trout being carried to the weigh station that weighed 5 to over 6 pounds.They had free bait and tackle.Alot of 1to 3 pound trout caught as well.next up was the free hotdogs water ice,and cookies.Biggest trout won a big trophy,a new rod and reel and a free mount of their fish.I little kid won a new bike.Anyone who caught a fish and weighed it in won a new rod and reel.A the kids who didn't catch a fish got a free bag of fishing stuff.Got to watch a bald eagle swoop down the center of the lake and grab a trout and fly away.Great job by SRSA for the kids.

They do phenom work down there and draw a big crowd. Great work guys! Congrats to all the kids that stuck it out, caught fish and won some awesome prizes! Cool stuff!!!:D

As I posted earlier I took my girlfriend for a walk there to see what the kids caught, and she was so excited to see the fun they were having she wanted to go fishing!! A quick run to Walmart for a license and some gear and we where throwing spinners in no time... we wound up with dinner and left overers and and new found hobby and tradition for us!!! Good stuff all around!! They do a great job there
