Swartswood closed?

Hooked the boat up and took a ride to Swartswood Thursday after work with Mikey. To our displeasure, we pulled up to a chained off boat ramp access road. Anyone know anything about this? 2018 Digest says Swartswood is among the lakes that remain open during trout stocking. Needless to say we were p*ssed, time and gas wasted going up there for nothing!

i know they close the ramp when it is snow covered. my guess is that someone didn't think about unchaining the gate with this thaw

So is this for the trout closure or not?

they close it when it's snow covered because they don't plow it.... best guess is they forgot to unchain it...and now it's snow covered again haha

Was the driveway to the main boat launch chained off? If I had the yak I would have launched elsewhere, but limited with the boat.
