Salmon River

3 Attachment(s)
So after looking at the weather last week I decided to head up to the SR for Sunday and Monday. The water conditions were perfect and after some brief snow showers Sun morning it was very nice weather. The fishing was off however and we needed to work very hard for the bites. Covering alot of water and moving around I connected with a few on Sunday late morning. I went 3 for 6 on Sunday. I had a member from the site with me and it was his first trip to Steelhead fish the SR. Anyone that has fished up there can attest they can be very difficult at times for no reason at all. Well lets just say he struggled a bit. Monday we headed to the DSR to see if there were some freshies that wanted to play. We pounded the water and covered from the top of DSR to the middle without a touch. By that time the rain started and the white flag was raised. It was great to get up there again and will be going again soon for revenge it should only get better!

sounds like you brought a scrub with you...bring me next time, i'll catch some fish! HAHAHAHAHA.

God i was ready to just let the river wash me away. Still looking for a witch doctor or shaman to remove they curse on me!

That scrub that can't catch fish takes a pretty good picture and net job though i guess, at least he served some kind of purpose!

P.S. Ohio is better!

No one needs to see my ugly mug.

Andy if you enjoy fishing the Upper D you would really enjoy it but as Chris learned it can be really tough at times.
