Blank suggestion

I'm in the planning phase of building my first rod. I was planning on buying the builder kit from MH out of convenience. So for my first rod I wanted to build a conventional tog rod. Does anyone have suggestions on a blank? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Try either Calstar or St. Croix blanks. Go for 7 1/2 or maybe 8ft blank

AmTech makes a MH blank that has a great feel for blackfish.
and its crazy cheap.
still one of my go to Tog rods after having MANY much expensive rods done

can fish up to a 12OZ sinker on it
