Tide Information

It seems everywhere I go they got this fancy type of tide information that I don't understand. Whatever happened to Sandy hook high tide 8AM low tide 2PM now its all plus numbers graphs & I don't have any clue at what I'm looking at. Simple user friendly even windguru I can't figure out how to change the city I type in Newport & it brings me to Newport in the UK wtf. I don't know how everybody else feels but I like the old way better it's easier to understand.

Download “tides near me” app. simple old school format. Gives high and low for the day and sunrise sunset times. Very easy to read.

Re: Tide Information

I know Garmin GPS/Plotters give you tides are various places and dates in both graphic and table of numbers. Not sure if the others do. I recently used a high end Raymarine offshore and really did not like it. Needlessly complication to duplicate simply "show me" stuff- line a course line on the screen.

The graphic has extra info like exactly how much water the tide brought in above datum or below datum. Very useful in shallower areas where things can get tight.

I like this one, it shows an active red dot of the rising and falling tide, in the yellow area for day and grey for night. Also has sun/moon times and stages.
