6 fish over 20lbs this morning
 

With the cooler nights we've been having the carp bite is starting to pick up. I fished this morning and ended up landing 12 fish, 6 over 20 pounds. I lost the heaviest fish of the day. It took about 100 yards of line out on the first run, I worked it half way back, then it went on another run and bent my hook straight. Most of the fish were caught southern paylake style with an oat based pack bait and puffs for the hook bait. The bite should only get better as the water cools off, though 200+ pounds of fish in one morning isn't too shabby for freshwater fishing!

yeah, it was in the fifties when I headed out this morning, warmed up quick tho. those are absolute beasts! what size body of water they come out of?

The biggest wild carp come out of large bodies of water with lots of crayfish or shellfish.

dude you need to take me out and show me your tricks i used to be the carp guy around ehre but you make me look like a tourist on party boat on a saturday!

Nice Catch!!! By big water I assume you mean lake dwellers? Never got one that big outtathe river, lol.

Lakes and rivers. I've seen a bunch of 30-50 pound fish come out of lakes in the northeast, but have personally witnessed over 20 30-53.12 pound fish taken out of rivers in the last few years ;)
