Midnight yakkin'
Met my buddy from Sussex County at a very empty local spot to him on Friday night. Being that it was a holiday weekend and wanting to avoid the craziness, we opted for "electric only". Got on the lake around midnight and began hearing herring very close by. Some bigger blowups every few minutes, but not at that crazy level yet. Overall we managed some plus sized Largemouths, a Walleye, a Smallie, and of course a Rock Bass :p. The fish were hot for topwaters but were definitely not dialed in and missed almost every time lol. Moon came out sometime between 230-3 and pretty much turned things off. We packed it in around 3am.

Sweet fish there dude. Good call on avoiding the craziness. And Night time beats roasting out there in that heat.

Great fish!
I just ordered a 360 degree light for my yak to help avoid peak madness hours on weekends and get more quality time on the water. |
