Lake Mohawk?

There is a very good chance that I'll be moving to Lake Mohawk in Sparta within the next month or two and will have lake rights. What's the deal with fishing there?

What sort of species? I assume LMB, panfish and pickerel. Do they stock trout? Are SMB, walleye, hybrids and pike available?

I lived in Fayson Lakes for 20 years and they were a paradise for fishing. They stocked most popular game species in limited numbers and some grew to monster size. That sort of spoiled me.

I'm curious about what to expect in Lake Mohawk. Does anyone here have experience fishing Lake Mohawk?

Saw pictures of nice spring hybrids caught there last year or 2 years ago.

Briansnat, I fished there as a guest a number of years ago and the largemouth bass fishing was outstanding. Lots of 2 and 3 pound bass. There is an under water hump there if you can find it. Lots of stunted white perch also.

my friend's friend used to live there, said it was good for bass panfish and hybrid stripers i think. i think i remember him saying there were some weird rules there though regarding night fishing or ice fishing i don't remember but i'm sure they will give you the rules.
