Big D. / Raritan 3-18:

Hit the Big D near Easton P-burg area. A guy came up in a jet boat and anchored up in the fast stuff and started getting a good pick of some nice size shad. I tossed a shad dart till my arm fell off, crossed over to the PA side and fished the same spot, almost hitting the guys boat and I could not catch a shad. The guys in the boat continued to pick away at shad and I casted that dart so much I think I casted the paint off of it !!! Left the river with my tail between my legs and headed for the Raritan.
Tossed big stuff from Manville down to the train tressels. No fish. Saw a big fish jump and that was it. Some big paw prints in the sand near the bank, just wondering if people are back in that remote area of the river walking their pit bulls.
2 days.....no fish

could you tell from the prints if the dog had a hammer in its mouth?

Thanks for the report. Planning on hitting the D later in the week in the boat. Is the boat launch at Bulls Island open?
