UFC fight
 

Just got done watching the UFC fights. I was never a boxing or wrestling fan and I'm sure judged by the people I was with I'm in the minority, but in my opinion it's barbaric.

I don't think it bodes well for society.

Is it just me?

Not just you Steve.... I won't even watch these guys street fighting each other so organizers can make lot's of money and eventually these guys unfortunately will die young from taking this abuse...:(

All anyone needs to do is look at the kick Holly Holm applied to Ronda Rousey's neck and you'll understand the brutality of the sport. How Rousey didn't break her neck or suffer a life threatening injury is shocking. Boxing is a risky sport but MMA and UFC takes risk to another level. There's obviously many people in this world who eat this stuff up but unfortunately at the end of the day most of the fighters end up broke and broken up. Even for someone who elevated through the ranks like Rousey, she's lucky she didn't lose her life in the Holm's bout. Pretty big price to pay for a few years of fame.....have to wonder for most if the upside justifies the risk!

On the fence to how I feel.

Fighters arent forced to do what they do. If they want to fight AND the public is willing to pay to watch, then have it.

Everyone is looking for the cash, regardless of what price the fighters physically pay.
