musconetcong report

day 27 for me on the ice and counting. i fished lake musconetcong today i was able to catch 3 perch 1 lmb and 1 sunfish. the biggest perch was 13" and the bass was 12" the lake had 6" of ice and the fish quit hitting as soon as the snow started. i fished in 3 to 4 fow today. it has been a long time since i fished that lake and the weeds were not that bad.. all fish were released to fight another day.

At least you got a few man. We were up on Monks. Jigged some Gills and Pickerel. Not one flag all day. Plenty of ice on that place. It’s crazy. :D

im assuming you were in the back, cause the areas by the bait shop and dam out to the island were open water patches the other day

yes i was in the middle of the lake. i went back today and the snow pushed the ice down so the water was coming up through the holes and there was 3" of water under the new snow. with the temps this week that should lock up. the holes were skinning up and the crust was already forming.
