Late night big girl

Met up wit Mikey for a late night 11-3am trip friday. Action in the usual spots was slow to say the least, with some Bass and Rock Bass willingly hitting plugs while the targeted species were not cooperating. After mindlessly tossing jerkbaits for a few hours, I decided to throw on a 4" Relax shad that I had never had much luck with. Couple casts in I get wacked by this big girl. Very impressive fight followed by a solid net job by Capt. Mikey and she was in the boat. Taped out at a little over 27" before a quick release. Called it around 3, only to run into fellow Redbull-fueled lunatics Getanet and Jigman packing it in as well.

nice eye fellas that is a nice fish indeed. looks like you might be on to something with the swim baits. sometimes you have to change things up to get the bigger eyes to play nice, they are seeing alot of jerkbaits now.

It's just getting started!!! nice LOOOOOONG eye! I had to switch up to a new lure to get a bite the other night too...what are these eyes getting smarter!?!

Doubt it. I had 6 Friday nite. It's still early. Wait a few days and just keep casting.
