I should be picking up my new 2017 G3 Guide V177T from Mayberry's on Thursday... Can't wait! Good luck with the resto! I'm sure you'll see me out on the Dirty Hooker II on the cong. It's rigged out with a new power tilt Yamaha 9.9, Minn Kota Ulterra 80lb with 2 sets of big deep cycles, Humminbird Helix 9 Mega Gen2 and a pair of Cannon Mag 5s. I bought all new Scotty orcas and powerlocks for trolling and bait fishing for it. I'll be looking for a big main engine probably next year. My brother will be taking over the OG Dirty Hooker so that will still be around too. I'll post pics of the new boat asap.

That's my main ride, 1872 sea ark. Got a 135 mercury optimaxx that makes sure we get where we wanna go in short order, then a 9.9 merc 4 stroke to keep us fishing all night with all electric controls (steering, shifting, throttle) from the front deck. Ten 50w led flood lights light up the water pretty good and are powered by four group 31 batteries. Nice head unit with 4 speakers to keep plenty of tunes playing. She is my baby, can't wait to take her out in the next few weeks

Thats a sick boat lou! Love that lady in the pic all confused lmfao😝👍🏻

Re: Lets see your ride..!

Thanks, yeah we get some confused looks, some thumps up, some middle fingers up, and plenty of questions just about every time we pull in to the gas station. Like to upgrade to a fan boat but not many home owners would appreciate it at 3am, but who knows maybe one day.

Man your boat is sick! You don't run generators for the lights?

Fire in Belmar at Seaport Inlet Marina on Valentine's Day. Our boat was on the top rack over the fire fighters right shoulder in the first picture engulfed in flames. 27 Grady with twin Yamaha 200's. Lucky we had good coverage, others weren't as fortunate. Need to get a boat like Delawareriver....that's one bad ass looking rig. Bet that would attract some squid in the canyons at night!

Damn that blows! What caused the fire?

Re: Lets see your ride..!

The story told is an employee was patching a section of shrink wrap on the motors of a boat below ours, one rack over, and the heat gun apparently ignited the cover underneath the wrap. Sketchy explanation since that boat had twin outboards and the cover was probably 4 feet away from where the patch work was being done. That and the fire apparently happened 20 minutes after the employee performed the work. 12 boats were destroyed with as many if not more damaged. After looking at the ones damaged, I'm glad ours was actually totaled.

Nope decided to run 12v lights to be considerate to home owners as many of the areas we fish have a lot of houses right on the water. It is nice not talking over a generator but it is a pain making sure everything is fully charged before every trip. Pros and cons to everything

Hmmm... I guess it's something I can consider for my boat then as I have a pair of 31s(Lifeline GPL-31XT's) and a pair of 29s(Autocraft 29HM's). Do you run through a set or both sets of batteries in a night of shooting/fishing?

Re: Lets see your ride..!

All four group 31s are hooked in parallel and I typically get about 10 hours or so, but they power the lights, navigation lights, few small interior led lights, stereo, and the kicker controls. 500w/12v = 41.6 amps to give you an idea how much the lights draw. Nothing else besides the stereo draws much and even the stero is minimal compared to the lights.

Gotcha so that's ballparking roughly 2.5hrs per battery on an average 100 amp hour rated battery to power the lights. Not bad for that all out purpose built system! If I run just a couple lights I think I could have enough juice on board to have some shooting fun.

Will do cheers!

Got a couple pics to post of the new rig all finished up. It's also got a Minn Kota MK440D onboard from my old boat for charging. I have swivel bases with pedestals that will mount the downriggers onto the Cannon tracks. Mayberry's did a real clean job with all the installs for me. They've been great to deal with. My last boat I built from the ground up with my friends but this time I let the pro's handle it.

And if I didn't have enough sh*t to float around in, currently making room in the stable for the vessel formerly known as The Green Hornet.

That is my ride right off your bow while I watched you & Rob give a clinic on how to catch wipers. Little did I know that they were eating koser chicken livers that day & all I had were those stupid herring! Crushed the oversized crappers, perch & small cats though!

I added a casting deck up front with a chair & a new FF last year, waiting to dig it out of the snow & get to work on this rev. One of the best parts of spring is refitting the ride and adding the goodies from the winter purchases.

Nothng fancy. It gets me out on the water and the fish don't seem to care what it looks like. 9.9 thunderous horses under that hood. Not really noticeable in the photos are the insulated beer holders next to each seat and each seat has a built in cigar holder within reach. The important stuff.
