I'm wondering the same myself. I know the Big J is out on a 30 hour trip, left this morning and returning tomorrow afternoon. By the time they return I'll be waiting at the dock since I'm scheduled for the Friday-Saturday 21 hour trip. Hopefully the tuna turn on and decide to chew!

Tuesday Wednesday 3 yellows 1 Sword most guys got the skunk a few caught.

The last good report I heard was from the 26th-27th trip on the gambler. I got 3 on that trip.

At least the wind and weather conditions are decent. I'll take 4 to 7 ft. swells.

Heck, tuna like a little turbulence anyway.

I was out on Halloween. Myself - 1 Yellowfin. Boat - 3 Yellowfin, 1 Longfin and a couple small swordfish. Probably 10 more hook-ups that didn't get in the boat. "Hot" bite is just before sunrise.

Nasty wind and sea. Used 6-8oz to get down to 70-150ft.

Boat had 1 sward and 1 small yellowfin. Jason, the guy that got the sward was kind enough to hook me up with some steaks. Eating it as I write.

Took a voyage Thursday & Friday and got the skunk. Had a yellowfin 10ft under the boat but then got into a tangle and then the leader parted. Hooked up later with a nice sword but the hook pulled after about a minute into the fight. Total for the entire boat was 1 longfin and 4 undersized swords. This is the worst tuna season I can remember in 20 years.

....was on the same voyage as tog. To top it all off, the ride in was at 13kts for the first half....and a sloppy one in quarter beam seas with some big rollers and gusty winds. Not the best trip but I got my pop on the water. He and I both hooked up on suspected blue dogs. Aside from that and a boat load of squid......skunked.
