after work quicky
1 Attachment(s)
shot out after work for a little bit. loaded up the tin can and started trolling and jigging. it was pretty windy with some nasty gusts, but fishable. didn't rain on me which was nice :D. right away had some good marks and hooked a double header on a tandem jigging fly rig. unfortunately one broke off but the other one made it to the net.
a beautiful solid fish that fell for the mini raunchy rainbow fly. the silver surfer fly was the one that broke off  I thought i was in for a few hours of fun...but that would be it. 5-6 passes over the same area and all around the nearby likely areas...nothing. nothing marked, no bites. poof like magic, gone! one nice fish for an after work quicky, i'll take it! |
Re: after work quicky
Solid fish too!! At least that one stayed buttoned up. Crazy cloud coverage yesterday too, you'd think the bite would've been super!?! Nice fish though!

Re: after work quicky
solid fish chris, not too shabby for an after work trip.its wierd how they just disappear like that one minute slamfest and then poof they're gone makes you wonder. lets hope they are willing to play next weekend, the nite temps are dropping should be interesting. are you fishing in the walleye contest?

Re: after work quicky
Yes but I haven't fished for them since early summer so not sure how it'll go. We've been the masters of the 5th and 6th place though hahaha
