Had an awesome trip Saturday night, filled a barrel and half and got lucky with this fat girl

Holy crap. :eek: What did it weigh?

I saw one on the South Branch Saturday with koi-like colors that looks like it may go 20 pounds. I failed to interest it in a strike by sight-casting small jigs to it. If I can get a break from work, I may return to that spot with some sweet corn.

Only 36lbs my scale said believe it or not, should of thrown her on another scale to double check but I knew she wasn't too close to the record as the record was taken off my boat by a friend and could tell that fish was bigger. Plus I was across the boarder in PA so it didny really matter

Nice catch bro, & what a beast of a carp!!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you hold the present Nj record for common carp in archery? Would've been sick to nab PA's record as well!:p:D

Yeah this boat has some good mojo. Adam holds the state record, we don't shoot much together anymore but it was taken off my boat, then the guy I bought the boat from holds the Ohio buffalo sucker record and hid buddy shot the Ohio state record common carp. 3 major state records all off the same boat even if it's 3 different guys is just about un heard of
