Awesome day of fishing on the Paramount
 

I had a fantastic day of fishing today. I got a 35 lb. pool wining Codfish,6 huge winter flounder orl & 38 ling. Won the pool on a marathon trip on the Paramount.

A better picture of the fish a great job by Capt. Dennis & the mates Al & Jim. That fish really put up some battle I have caught many Codfish of that size. I really didn't know what is was I really didn't think it was a Codfish. To boot I caught that on a small piece of bait intended for Flounder A small hook 2/0 plus 20lb test shock leader & braid. Getting this fish in was no easy task a fish I will never forget.

Great catch on that rig Doug ! I've lost them on 80# when cut off on super structure !

agreed... Also, he doesn't sit in dead zones, or on top of mounds of pout as I have seen other bottom boat captains do.. I can't wait to get down there again...

Thanks for the replies the offshore fishing has been very consistent. At least your coming home with more then just ice in the cooler.

agreed!!! the bottom fishing has been good and getting better.even now with the sea bass closed there is still plenty to take home.
